Large-Scale Solar Generation Facility

WBE is providing comprehensive electrical construction, testing, and commissioning support for a large-scale solar photovoltaic facility with more than 180 MW of DC generating capacity. The project includes extensive DC and medium-voltage AC electrical infrastructure, power conversion equipment, grounding systems, controls, communications, and utility interconnection support.
WBE’s electrical scope includes installation and interconnection of the photovoltaic array, DC cabling and harness systems, medium-voltage collection circuits, transformers, inverters, combiner equipment, conduit, grounding, and associated terminations. The work also includes electrical trenching, cable installation, testing, and connection of the medium-voltage system to the project’s substation infrastructure.
The project incorporates a fully integrated SCADA and communications network for monitoring and controlling the solar facility, including inverters, medium-voltage transformers, tracking systems, meteorological equipment, and substation devices. WBE’s scope includes power and communications infrastructure, fiber-optic cabling, field terminations, grounding, and integration support for these systems.
WBE is also supporting comprehensive inspection, testing, energization, and commissioning activities, including electrical and communications cable testing, grounding-system testing, PV string verification, SCADA commissioning, backfeed and energization support, and operational and capacity testing.
