Project Cost: $1,300,000
WBE’s Traffic Signal & Street Lighting division successfully completed the Curtola Park & Ride Hub project for SolTrans, delivering a modernized and sustainable transit center that enhances commuter experience and urban connectivity in Vallejo, CA.
The scope of work included the integration of solar power infrastructure and electric vehicle charging stations, supporting the region’s shift toward greener transportation solutions. WBE installed new traffic signals, LED site lighting, high-definition security cameras, and contributed to the construction of a new ticket sales office and vending kiosk—bolstering both functionality and security for transit users.
Additional site enhancements featured expanded parking capacity, a designated casual carpool area, and new restroom facilities. Passenger waiting areas were thoughtfully designed with weather protection, fencing to prevent unauthorized access, and upgraded site furnishings to improve comfort and safety.
To support regional transit integration, the expanded hub now serves over 500 daily commuters with seamless connectivity to Amtrak. New landscaping completed the project, enriching the visual appeal of this critical gateway into the city of Vallejo and reflecting SolTrans’ commitment to sustainable, rider-focused infrastructure.
