What You’ll Do

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage a portfolio of telecom projects from start to finish.
  • Execute strategic direction from the Division Manager and WBE Leadership.
  • Support companywide development and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee all financial aspects of assigned contracts—including progress billing, equipment rentals, income/expenses, and client relationships.
  • Develop financial forecasts, prepare monthly reports, and participate in forecast meetings.
  • Prepare project SOVs and billing packages.
  • Identify, submit, and drive approval of change orders.
  • Identify and mitigate project schedule delays.
  • Manage prime contract execution and ensure compliance.
  • Review and monitor subcontractor scopes; create and approve subcontract SOVs.
  • Lead pre-planning efforts with virtual construction, estimating, and field teams.
  • Create, monitor, and resolve issues related to purchase orders, submittals, and RFIs.
  • Train and direct project support staff and provide ongoing guidance.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within company guidelines.
  • Maintain all logs required for tracking project progress.
  • Oversee labor reporting and forecast man-hours to stay within budget.
  • Maintain communication with clients and design teams to support construction activities.
  • Coordinate with on-site Foremen to ensure schedule and budget alignment.
  • Investigate critical issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Represent the company in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Document all relevant project updates and communications.
  • Ensure complete project closeout, including change orders and documentation.
  • Gather and document data for stakeholder reporting.
  • Participate in training and mentoring Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Managers.

Experience and Education

  • 5+ years of telecom project management experience preferred.
  • Experience estimating change orders.
  • 5+ years working with contract plans/specs and project accounting.
  • Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program or 10–15 years of diverse experience in the electrical industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / O365.
  • Proficiency with Spectrum, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and/or similar project management software.

  • Must maintain a valid Class C driver’s license and be able to travel to job sites, supplier locations, and meetings.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout construction sites and office environments for extended periods.
  • Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 35 lbs.
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $135,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
